Chelsea confirm fresh injury concern ahead of Luton Town clash

Chelsea have confirmed that winger Mykhailo Mudryk has picked up an injury in training which will see him miss Friday's clash with Luton Town.

Concerns over Mudryk's fitness were sparked earlier this week when the Ukraine international was not spotted in a team training session and Chelsea have now confirmed that Mudryk has "started rehabilitation" after being assessed.

The club did not confirm the nature of Mudryk's injury but manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed in his press conference that it was nothing serious.

The £88.5m winger becomes the ninth player sidelined for Chelsea, joining Benoit Badiashile, Marcus Bettinelli, Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja, Carney Chukwuemeka, Wesley Fofana, Christopher Nkunku and captain Reece James on the treatment table.

Only Sheffield United currently have more injured players than Chelsea in the Premier League, with the Blades still missing ten players.
