Ruud van Nistelrooy hits out at 'fake quotes' over Cody Gakpo's 'Man Utd snub'

PSV Eindhoven manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has set the record straight over some 'fake' quotes attributed to him over Cody Gakpo's move to Liverpool in January. Gakpo was widely expected to leave PSV for Manchester United to work under Erik ten Hag, with the winger even speaking openly of his interest in making the move to Old Trafford, but it was Liverpool who swooped in and got a deal done. Shortly after the move went through, quotes emerged online which appeared to be from Van Nistelrooy, with the former United striker said to have tried to convince Gakpo to move to Manchester instead. “I advised him to wait ’til the summer," the reports quote d Van Nistelrooy as saying. "Something happened and he refused my advice and listened to Virgil van Dijk, who tempted him to join his team. I also wanted him to join United. Not just because it’s my club and I love them, but also because they are better than Liverpool and offer a lot more potential to their players.” No

Alonso sceptical on FIA penalty solution: 'It won't all help'

Image
Fernando Alonso has questioned some of the changes made by the FIA to help avoid penalties at the start of Formula 1 races. The Aston Martin driver became the second driver in two races to be penalised for missing their grid slot at the start of the Saudi Arabian GP, which sparked a chain reaction of penalty dramas across the race. "It is difficult, and apparently this year it seems even more, because in two races to have two penalties is a little bit strange," Alonso commented to media when asked about the post-race podium confusion. "We are very concentrated on the yellow line to not go too far forward, so you approach the box not looking at the box. "You're looking on one side of the cockpit, so maybe that's a bit of a distraction, but I made a mistake there, so we will try to be more focused on the box this weekend and avoid any penalty." Elden Ring Fans Make Up Lines For Silent Radagon

Elden Ring has a lot of great lines from some iconic bosses. Who can ever forget Margit, the Fell Omen threatening to "extinguish thy flame," or Malenia simply stating she has "never known defeat." And yet Radagon, the penultimate boss of Elden Ring, has nothing at all to say. To be fair to Radagon, by the time you reach him, he looks more than a little worse for wear. It's possible he can't speak at all--he just lets his hammer do the talking. But to help him out, several Tarnished on the Elden Ring subreddit have brainstormed a few lines the silent leader of the Golden Order could utter if he were to ever find his voice. TESS Shows That Even Small Stars Can Host Giant Planets

Can low-мass stars play host to giant, Jupiter-sized planets? Theories of planet forмation suggest that it’s highly unlikely. But a teaм of scientists in the UK found that it’s possiƄle, though rare. Resident Evil 4 Remake Brings Back The Original Game's Lake Easter Egg

Resident Evil 4's remake brings back an easter egg from the original Game which can be triggered if Leon foolishly decides to shoot the lake before encountering Del Lago. Good news, Resident Evil fans - you can stop replaying the Chainsaw Demo over and over again now as the Resident Evil 4 remake is finally upon us. Capcom has made it clear that Leon's reimagined trip to Spain has quite a few differences from the original (RIP "no thanks, bro"), but there are also lots of callbacks to the original Game and things that have mercifully been kept the same. Related: The Rocket Launcher Is Resident Evil 4's Master Ball Something that has been kept the same for the remake is the Del Lago easter egg that can be found in the first few hours of the Game . For those who don't remember, a couple of hours into the original Resident Evil 4, Leon finds himself at a lake he must cross in order to find Ashley. Silent Hill 2 Remake Is "Technically Ready", Says Bloober Team CEO

Last year, Konami proudly and triumphantly announced the return of the Silent Hill series with a bunch of new titles, one of the biggest being the Silent Hill 2 Remake. We didn't get a release date during that announcement, but it was revealed the Game is being developed by Layers of Fear and The Medium creator Bloober Team. Details on when the Game is expected to launch have been pretty sparse since its reveal, though Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno has suggested it might be sooner rather than later. In an interview shared by polish outlet Bankier (translated by VGC), Babieno claims that Silent Hill 2 Remake is "techically ready" but stresses that this doesn't mean the Game is finished. Instead, he states that the Game is "close" to completion, but says that the Game 's release schedule and promotion is being handled by Konami. The largest Anglo-Saxon cemetery ever found in Britain sheds light on the “dark Ages” (video)

Archaeologists working on HS2 (the purpose-built high-speed railway line) have discovered a rich Anglo-Saxon cemetery in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, where almost three-quarters of the graves contain quality ɡгаⱱe goods. The items uncovered are dated to the 5th and 6th centuries. The site contains 138 graves, 141 inhumation burials, and 5 cremation burials, in addition to eⱱіdeпсe of Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, and Roman activity. The brooches were manufactured in a variety of styles, including gilt disk brooches and silver coin brooches. YouTube TV offers help to users in cancelling subscription

YouTube has recently increased the subscription fee for YouTube TV from $64.99 to $72.99 per month. The new subscription price will apply to the old subscribers from April 18, whereas the new subscribers will be paying it immediately. The price hike has received a mixed response from the audience. While the platform justifies the increase by blaming the rise in content costs, users need help to keep up with it. The new subscription fee does not include 4K resolution streaming. However, it can be added on at a discounted price. The platform emailed its users to address the concerns related to the hike. It has also sent a link to the subscribers with the flexibility to cancel the subscription whenever they cannot pay for the new package. Assassin's Creed Codename Red Reportedly Inspired By Splinter Cell And Hitman

Assassin's Creed looks like it's returning to form with Mirage this year, a smaller, more stealth-focused Game than Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. Fans are already excited to see 'Assassin' put back into Assassin's Creed, but there were worries that it would be a one-off before a return to the more modern approach with the Mysterious live-service sequel Infinity. However, Codename Red will allegedly be stealth-focused as well. According to a report from Insider Gaming, there will be both a Shinobi and Samurai character, lending to the Feudal Japan setting. The focus is also said to be on stealth Game play, drawing inspiration from two iconic stealth-based series, Splinter Cell and Hitman. CDPR Says Edgerunners' Falco Won't Be In Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty DLC

Sorry, Edgerunners fans, but it doesn't look like Falco will return in Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty DLC. That's straight from the mouth of CD Projekt red's global PR director, so we're pretty sure it's legit. Earlier this week, a video popped up on the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit that supposedly revealed part of the upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC. The mission was called "Casino Warfare," possibly referring to the orbiting Crystal Palace alluded to in one of Cyberpunk's endings. And on top of that, the mission description mentioned Edgerunners' Falco as one of the people you'd need to talk to in order to get the operation rolling.
